The challenge

Staffing shifts means constant calls and reshuffled schedules. The owner wants to post a shift and pick people. The worker wants to say when they can come and confirm with one tap.

Goals

  • An app online after two to three weeks of one person’s work.
  • Two sides: the owner posts and invites, the worker shares availability and applies.
  • An interface designed for the phone first.
  • Login and data on ready-made infrastructure.

Scope of work

Product and UX

  • A shift marketplace: the venue posts, the worker applies.
  • Worker invitations and availability declarations.
  • Separate views for the venue owner and the worker.
  • Phone-first — every flow designed for the phone.

App and technology

  • Astro and React in TypeScript, interface on Tailwind.
  • Supabase: app login and data.
  • Deployed on Cloudflare Workers.

Current product stage

  • Runs on test data (Stacja Neapol as the sample venue).
  • External services are still in test mode — the app does not serve real users yet.
  • Proves the delivery of a working product, not market success.
